Breeding for Disposition and Usability

Camas Mist Morgans is the fulfillment of a life-long dream. I have always wanted horses, but never actually got one until I was an adult. Since then, it has been full steam ahead! I was originally attracted to the stocky, baroque Morgan, the horses of my grandfather’s time. What sold me was their dispositions, their willingness to please, and general good nature.  Morgans are tough, can out work most breeds and are very versatile. I breed for type and temperament first and then add color. My horses are raised exposed to all things farm – machinery, animals, people, and miscellaneous “stuff.”  Bone and muscle, as well as balance, is developed on the rocky hills surrounding the Camas Prairie.
